Artist's Statement

Hi there.
As you probably noticed I really enjoy doing portraits. It wasn't until I decided to take a few art classes at the Vancouver Island School of Art that I dove into charcoal as my choice of medium.
Its great for shading and contrast, and I like to use my hands more for applying as opposed to a pencil or other drawing tools.

I have done a number of portraits by request. These have included pets, kids, family, boats, cars, etc.
